Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrive at Kathmandu
Upon Arrival, you will be greeted by our office personnel who will welcome you to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Here, you will get to witness the beautiful blend of two historic cities: Kathmandu and Patan. The cities are known for their Heritage sites and temples. After enriching yourself with the energy of the city, you will have a welcome dinner at the Utsav Restaurant, a Nepali dinner with Nepali cultural dance performances. The rest of the evening is all yours.
After breakfast, you will wander through Kathmandu’s iconic landmarks. The sacred Pashupatinath Temple invites quiet reflection, while the lively Durbar Square brims with history at every turn. You will also get to interact with the Sadhus there. Next, we will proceed to Bouddhanath, the most revered shrine in Nepal’s Buddhist culture. It has a large stupa, where all the devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage. After a day of exploration, the rest of the day is free at leisure, but make sure to be well rested for the next day.
Today, you will enjoy a visit to Patan, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You also have a choice of taking a tuk-tuk ride to Kathmandu Durbar Square. After a full day, you’ll have a kip for the night in your hotel.
Pokhara is a 20 min flight from Kathmandu. Pokhara town (2,352 feet); the 25,000+ peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges rise a scant 20 miles away with no intervening ridges to spoil the view. Pokhara blends Gurung and Magar culture, temples, monasteries, festivals, handicrafts, lakeside markets, and traditional music for a vibrant cultural experience. Following arrival, you’ll settle into your accommodation for the night.
This day, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Nayapul (1 ½ hours; 30 miles). Trekking starts on the first day from Nayapul and ends at Tikhedhunga, where you can see the famous stone stairway climb and breathtaking village views (1,495 metres, or 4,950 feet above sea level, in about 3 hours, covering about 3 to 4 miles). We trek more to reach Ulleri (1,950 metres, or 6,395 feet above sea level, in about 3 hours, covering a further 3 to 4 miles). Once the day’s sights are behind you, it’s time to relax at a basic teahouse.
The second day of trekking will be from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,850 metres, or 9,350 feet above sea level). It will take you about 5 to 6 hours to cover the total distance of around 7 miles. On the way you will get to see vibrant rhododendron forests, terraced villages, and panoramic Himalayan peaks including Annapurna South and Machapuchare. At the end of a long day, you’ll enjoy some downtime at a tea house.

The third day of trekking will be from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210 metres, or 10,528 feet above sea level, 7 miles, taking about 5 hours). We trek down to Tadapani (2,520 metres, or 8,268 feet above sea level), which is 5 miles and will take you about 2 hours 30 minutes. Following today’s adventures, the night is yours to enjoy at a tea house.

The fourth day of trekking will be down from Poon Hill to Nayapul (910 metres, or 2,986 feet Above sea level), covering about 8 miles in 5 to 6 hours. The drive from Nayapul to Pokhara will be smooth and relaxing for you; it will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once checked in, you can relax and recharge for the next day.

You will get to visit Devi’s fall, also known as Patale Chango. Also visit Gupteshwor Caves, known for their deep vertical caves which give you a unique underground exploration experience. In the evening enjoy boating at Fewa Lake. End your day with a relaxing stay in your hotel.

You will drive to Chitwan, which is about 180 km away from Pokhara and takes about 5 hours to reach. Chitwan is one of Asia’s premier Wildlife reserves. Its 360 square miles of tall grasslands and forests are home to a variety of mammals and birds. There are also some endangered species. After arriving at Chitwan, the rest of the day is free at leisure. After a day of travel and exploration, you will get a well-earned rest.

Enjoy Jungle observation at Chitwan National Park. The highlight being the Elephant Safari along with other activities like Canoeing, Dugout canoeing, Nature Walk and Bird Watching. Also experience walking through the forests with naturalists and watch the Native folk dances of the Terai. After the day has been spent well, you will settle into your hotel in Chitwan.

Relax in Chitwan and try a few more Jungle activities during your stay in Chitwan.

You will drive back to Kathmandu and continue driving to Nagarkot, which is a 32 km drive (takes about 1.5 hours) to the east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 metres. The panoramic view of the major peaks, including Mount Everest, can be seen from here. This place is also famous for viewing sunrises and sunsets. With the day behind you, it’s time to relax in your hotel.
Drive to the international airport for an onwards journey. It will take approximately 1.5 hours for you to reach the airport. Bid farewell to the treasures of Nepal and return with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
