The Karnataka Expedition reveals a region celebrated for its enduring heritage and natural splendour. Ancient empires have left their mark in temples and palaces, while festivals, crafts, and rituals continue to be celebrated with the same reverence as centuries ago. The aroma of coffee, the rhythm of classical dance, the grandeur of royal legacies, and the silence of forests together form a cultural symphony. The Karnataka Expedition is an invitation to witness traditions carried forward across generations, each moment offering depth and authenticity.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Welcome to Bengaluru
Arrive at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru around midnight. You will be welcomed by our representative and chauffeur. Transferred to your hotel for check-in and rest. Once breakfast is out of the way, enjoy leisure time at the hotel until noon. Post-lunch, set out to explore the city with visits to Bangalore Palace and the revered Bull Temple.
In the evening, you may choose to join a guided walking tour through the old quarters of Bengaluru, discovering its charm, traditions, and stories. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, check out and begin your drive to Coorg, a land of lush coffee estates and misty hills. You will arrive around noon and check into your resort. Following lunch, the afternoon is yours to relax amidst tranquil surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance at the resort (subject to availability), offering a glimpse into the traditions of this region. Enjoy your overnight stay at the resort.
After a hearty breakfast, set out to discover Coorg’s highlights. Visit a renowned Buddhist monastery and spend time at the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can observe and interact with these gentle giants. Return to your resort for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, choose one of three experiences:
In the evening, return to your resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
After having breakfast, the day is free at leisure to enjoy the surroundings. After a day filled with experiences, the evening is for unwinding, having dinner in the resort and sleeping.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kabini, a pristine haven of forests and rivers, which will take about 3-4 hours. On arrival, check into your resort and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, set out on a wildlife boat safari along the Kabini River, where the calm waters reveal elephants on the banks, flocks of birds, and the serene wilderness. Return to your resort in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Early in the morning we will proceed with our wildlife vehicle safari, where you will get to witness tigers, leopards, black panthers, and herds of elephants doing their day-to-day activities. For breakfast, return to the hotel, and the rest of the day is free at leisure.

We will leave for a 2-hour drive to Mysuru after having breakfast. Once we have reached our destination, we will check you into the hotel and later visit the most famous Mysore Maharaja’s Palace. After a day of leisurely adventures, you can spend a comfortable night in the hotel.
After having a hearty meal in the hotel, we will go on an open Jeep tour and visit the Chamundeshwari temple and other tourist spots. Return to the hotel for lunch. Later in the noon you will have an option to indulge in the following activities:
In the evening, on special request, enjoy an exclusive experience on the banks of the River Cauvery, where you will witness age-old rituals and traditional worship offered to the sacred waters. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive to the airport of Bengaluru, which will take about 4-4.5 hours to reach. Board an afternoon flight to Chikkamagaluru. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is for you to relax and soak in the atmosphere of this city. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the same hotel.
Once breakfast is done, embark on a journey through Mullayanagiri Peak and Baba Budangiri for stunning views and trekking. Explore a local coffee estate, enjoy a coffee-tasting session, and optionally experience village life. Later, experience an authentic local lifestyle with a visit to a nearby home, where you can participate in traditional cooking alongside the residents (optional, arranged exclusively). Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Hampi (approx. 8–9 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind. Spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the historic surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, journey to Anegundi, a town embraced by hills on three sides and the Tungabhadra River on the fourth. Revered in Indian mythology as Kishkindha, the legendary kingdom of monkeys, Anegundi also served as the first capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, with its strategic elevation offering commanding views. The name Anegundi, meaning “elephant pit”, reflects its historical use for bathing royal elephants.
You can also visit a local artisan’s workshop to observe traditional crafts being made, connected with the living heritage of the region. Return to the hotel in the afternoon for relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and take a flight to Bangalore for your onward journey. On arrival, guests may choose to wait at the airport for their further journey or enjoy a rejuvenating experience at a nearby Ayurvedic centre, indulging in a relaxing massage treatment before departure. Afterwards, transfer back to the airport in time for your flight, concluding the Karnataka Expedition with memories of heritage, culture, wildlife, and landscapes that will linger long after the journey ends.
