Over two enchanting weeks, you’ll explore the bustling streets of Ahmedabad, wander through the wilderness of Gir and Velavadar, discover artisanal crafts in Bhuj, and experience the cultural grandeur of the Rann Utsav. Gujarat’s timeless spirit — rooted in heritage, faith, and artistry — will reveal itself at every turn, leaving you with stories etched deep in memory.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Welcome to Mumbai

On arrival at Mumbai Airport, you will be welcomed by our local representative and start with the information about the trip while checking you into a hotel to acclimatise to the atmosphere. You can also explore the local markets, but make sure to get enough rest to be prepared for the journey ahead.

DAY 2 Head to Ahmedabad

In the morning, we will leave for Ahmedabad, India’s first World Heritage City, where monuments, markets, and Gandhi’s enduring presence create a vibrant welcome. Begin exploring the old city, where narrow lanes hide carved havelis, mosque domes rise gracefully, and stepwells whisper stories of rain and ritual. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

DAY 3 Rickshaws, Rituals & the Spirit of Gandhi

Start with the Gandhi Ashram, where simplicity and strength are preserved in spinning wheels and handwritten letters. Explore the intricate Adalaj Stepwell and take a rickshaw tour of the city’s pols (traditional neighborhoods). Overnight in Ahmedabad.

DAY 4 Jambughoda: Forest Trails & Ancient Rock Art

Drive to Jambughoda, a quiet retreat amid forests and tribal villages. Visit Champaner-Pavagadh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with temples, mosques, and forts scattered across its slopes. Overnight at Jambughoda.

DAY 5 Kevadia: Bamboo Craft & the Statue of Unity

Travel to Kevadia and witness the world’s tallest statue — the Statue of Unity. Visit tribal villages to see bamboo craft and cultural traditions. Evening by the serene Narmada River. Overnight in Kevadia.

DAY 6 Velavadar: Blackbucks on the Golden Plains

Drive to Velavadar National Park, where herds of blackbuck leap across golden grasslands. Watch graceful antelopes and striking birdlife at sunset. Overnight in Velavadar.

DAY 7 Sasan Gir: Land of the Asiatic Lion

Head to Gir, the last abode of the Asiatic lion. An evening safari introduces you to the forest’s wildlife and the thrill of spotting the king of Gir. Overnight at Gir.

DAY 8 From Gir to Dwarka: Lions, Legends & Gandhi’s Footsteps

Enjoy a morning safari before driving toward Dwarka, one of India’s four sacred dhams. En route, visit Junagadh and Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Overnight in Dwarka.

DAY 9 Dwarka: Krishna’s Island & Coastal Wonders

Spend the day exploring Dwarkadhish Temple and the coastal sites of Okha and Bet Dwarka, steeped in Krishna’s legends. Sunset at Dwarka beach completes the day. Overnight in Dwarka.

DAY 10 Bhuj: Bonfire Nights in Kutch

Drive to Bhuj, the cultural heart of Kutch. Evening bonfires bring alive folk music and stories from Gujarat’s desert communities. Overnight in Bhuj.

DAY 11 Bhuj: Handicrafts & Flavors of Gujarat

Explore villages around Bhuj — Ajrakhpur, Bhujodi, and Nirona — where artisans practice block printing, weaving, lacquerwork, and Rogan art. Sample Kutchi flavors along the way. Overnight in Bhuj.

DAY 12 Mandvi: Palaces, Sunsets & Beachside Feasts

Head to Mandvi, where Vijay Vilas Palace stands as a royal gem. Relax on Mandvi’s sandy beaches and enjoy seafood by the shore as the sun dips into the Arabian Sea. Overnight in Mandvi.

DAY 13 Rann Utsav: White Desert & Starry Skies

Drive to Dhordo, the gateway to the Rann of Kutch. Experience the Rann Utsav — tents, folk dances, handicraft bazaars, and moonlit views of the salt desert. Overnight in Dhordo.

DAY 14 Dholavira: Echoes of the Indus Valley

Journey to Dholavira, an archaeological wonder of the Harappan civilization. Walk through its ruins, water reservoirs, and ancient citadels. Overnight in Dholavira.

DAY 15 Ahmedabad: A Journey Comes Full Circle

Return to Ahmedabad. Evening at leisure — shop for bandhani textiles, silver jewelry, or simply relax with Gujarat’s famed thalis. Overnight in Ahmedabad.

DAY 16 Goodbye Until Our Next Tour

After breakfast, transfer to Mumbai Airport for your onwards journey. Though your Gujarat sojourn comes to an end, carry with you its lions, deserts, legends, and colours.
