DAY 1 Welcome to Paro, Bhutan
You will be warmly welcomed by our team and meet the driver and travel guide. You will be transferred to your hotel and after lunch you will be visiting the National Museum and the Paro Dzong. After your first day of exploration, you will have dinner and rest in your stay.
Catch a scenic morning flight to Jakar Valley, the heart of the beautiful Bumthang region. After checking in, you will enjoy a relaxed day of cycling-based sightseeing, pedalling through quiet valley roads, ancient monasteries, traditional villages, and scenic fields.
Begin your day with a scenic cycle ride from Jakar Valley to Trongsa, a beautiful route featuring rolling terrain, lush forests, and sweeping mountain views. Upon arrival, you will explore the local museum and the impressive Trongsa Dzong, both offering deep insights into Bhutan’s royal and cultural history. Settle in for the night with dinner and a relaxing stay at your hotel.

Embark on an invigorating cycle ride from Trongsa to Phobjikha, climbing through dense forests and open valleys before descending into a serene glacial basin. You will visit the beautiful Gangtey Monastery, an important Buddhist site known for its peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views over the valley.

End your day with dinner and a quiet overnight stay surrounded by pristine nature and wetlands.

Enjoy a picturesque cycle ride as you transition from the high glacial valley of Phobjikha down into the warmer, lush river landscapes of Punakha. Along the way, you will stop to visit a local temple, taking in its serene atmosphere and traditional Bhutanese architecture. Your day concludes with dinner and a restful evening at your hotel in the fertile Punakha valley.

Spend a full day exploring the calm, green landscapes of Punakha, where terraced fields, winding rivers, and traditional villages create a peaceful setting. You will visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, one of the country’s most stunning architectural landmarks, beautifully situated at the confluence of two rivers.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy gentle walks, explore suspension bridges, and soak in the warm valley scenery.

Enjoy a rewarding cycle ride from Punakha to Thimphu, climbing out of the warm valley into cooler mountain terrain before descending into the capital. A highlight of today’s journey is crossing the magnificent Dochula Pass.

Situated at over 3,000 meters, the pass offers panoramic views of the snow-clad eastern Himalayas on clear days and features 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Arrive in Thimphu for dinner and your overnight stay.

Give your legs a break today as you trade your bicycle for a relaxing, scenic drive back to Paro. Along the way, you will stop to admire the towering Buddha Dordenma, one of the world’s largest Buddha statues, which overlooks the Thimphu valley with a serene, golden presence.

The route gradually winds down into Paro’s broad valley, offering glimpses of traditional homes and terraced fields before you check into your hotel.

Embark on an inspiring hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, one of Bhutan’s most sacred sites. The trail ascends through pine forests, vibrant prayer flags, and dramatic cliffside viewpoints, offering breathtaking vistas of the Paro Valley.

Reaching the top, where the monastery clings impossibly to a sheer rock face, rewards you with an unforgettable spiritual atmosphere. Head back to the hotel for your farewell dinner and final night.

After breakfast, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport in time for your onward flight, bidding you a fond farewell to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
