Itinerary

DAY 1 Welcome to Delhi
On arrival at Indira Gandhi international airport, you will be welcomed by our local representative and start with the information about the trip while checking you into a hotel to acclimatise to the atmosphere. You can also explore the local markets, but make sure to get enough rest to be prepared for the journey ahead.
In the morning, we will leave for Leh. After reaching Leh airport, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. You will spend the day in the hotel resting and acclimatising while drinking plenty of water.
After breakfast, we will go on a scenic journey along the Leh–Manali Highway, stopping to explore the Hemis Monastery, the Thiksey Monastery, and the Shey Palace. After a day of exploration, you will return to Leh for an overnight stay.

In the evening, enjoy a leisurely visit to Leh Palace, soak in the views from Shanti Stupa, and wander through the vibrant Leh Market.

You will start your journey to Kargil while exploring remarkable monasteries along the way, including Spituk Monastery, Likir Monastery, Alchi Monastery, and Lamayuru Monastery. We will stop at Mulbek, famous for its impressive rock-carved Buddha statue. Drive across breathtaking high passes such as Fotu La (13,478 ft) and Namika La (12,139 ft), before descending into the lush Suru Valley. You will have a comfortable stay at Kargil.

After breakfast, set off from Kargil towards the rugged and breathtaking landscapes of Zanskar, crossing the impressive Pensi La Pass at 14,435 ft. Along the way, stop at the peaceful Rangdum Monastery, perched at 11,811 ft, with stunning views of the Rangdum Plateau and snow-capped peaks. Drive past the magnificent Drang Drung Glacier as the scenery unfolds, revealing the remote beauty of Zanskar. Watch the Zanskar River meander through a valley framed by dramatic mountains, creating a sense of serenity and wonder. End the day with an overnight stay in Padum, soaking in the tranquillity of this untouched paradise.

You will get to visit Sani Monastery & Pibiting Monastery. Sani monastery belongs to the southern branch of the Drukpa Kagyupa school. The entire Sani monastery was built in parts, each dating from a different century. Pibiting Monastery, which is famous for its beautiful architecture, was built in the shape of a chorten or Stupa and is placed at the top of the hill. It is believed that Kanishka, the influential king of the Kushan dynasty, constructed the monastery in the 2nd century. It offers an exceptional view while the surroundings of the monastery are calm and peaceful. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Padum, and after that, an overnight stay in a hotel at Padum.
After breakfast, start your day in the direction of Phugtal, one of the remotest corners of the Lungnak Valley in the southeastern region of Zanskar. Drive along the rough road for 2-3 hours to Purney, where you will have a night’s stay in a local homestay or guest house.
Once breakfast is done, start your day in the direction of Phugtal, which is famous for its unique cliffside caves. Drive along the rough road for 2-3 hours to Padum, where you will stay overnight.

Begin your journey from Padum to Kargil via Zanskar, driving through stunning high-altitude landscapes and rugged mountain terrain, passing by serene rivers and remote villages. You may catch a glimpse of Mount Nun, the highest peak in the region, which stands at 7,135 metres (23,409 feet), offering a majestic sight. After a day of enjoying these majestic views, you will have an overnight stay in a hotel in Kargil.

After having breakfast, get ready for a full-day excursion from Kargil to Apati Buddha and the Aryan villages of Dah, Garkone, and Darchicks, which are home to people believed to be descendants of Indo-Aryans. This offers an incredible journey through the unique landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the region. You will get to experience the distinct customs, architecture, and lifestyles of the locals, as well as explore ancient Buddhist stupas and temples. After the day of delights, your night will be spent in comfort at Aryan Valley.

The Aryan villages of Dah, Garkone, and Darchicks are home to people believed to be descendants of Indo-Aryans, offering an incredible journey through unique landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Explore the distinct customs, architecture, and lifestyles of the locals, along with ancient Buddhist stupas and temples. By evening, continue your drive to Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Following your morning bite, you will get transferred to Leh Airport to board the flight to Delhi. During the flight, take a moment to reflect on the incredible landscapes, culture, and experiences of your Ladakh journey.

Upon landing in Delhi, your trip ends, carrying memories of this unforgettable adventure.
